Managing Director, HR & Talent Acquisition

  • Joined GenTech in February 2018

 

What I Do at GenTech:
I manage our Talent Acquisition Team & Human Resources Team, which means I’m responsible for deciding how we go to market for talent, as well as an escalation point for the team.

It’s all about the people! Yep, you’ve heard it before, but we feel a huge responsibility to articulate the GenTech mindset, our values, and our culture. We do this to attract the right people to the business and keep the company growing.

Before I Joined GenTech:
I came to GenTech from the external staffing world. I appreciate the 5 years I spent working as a full-desk recruiter and then as a manager. It gave me a look into how many Talent Acquisition departments worked. This helped me know what I did and didn’t want to see when I started GenTech’s talent program.

Things I Like Outside of Work:
I love spending time with my family which includes my husband, daughter, and two very large dogs. We live on a golf course and spend most of our summers on the course. During the winter we enjoy spending time with friends and recently joined a bowling league.

Talent Acquisition Lead

What I Do at GenTech:
I’m responsible for complete life cycle recruiting across all areas of the business from an internal hiring perspective. My goal is to provide the most seamless interview process and help guide candidates to make the decision for them.

Before I Joined GenTech:
Before I joined GenTech, I had 3.5 years of Technical Recruiting experience, most recently with small and large Start-Ups. In my previous role, I would consult with Start-Ups to help plan, build, and implement their hiring initiative process. Making the jump to GenTech was the best decision, outside of the opportunity to continue to help people with career advice, I also get to support Government roles that are solving real world problems.

I’m proud to work for a service-disabled veteran-owned business, and look forward to helping even more people achieve their career goals.

Things I Like Outside of Work:
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Being born and raised in Indiana, I enjoy taking advantage of the weather here in San Diego and spend a majority of my free time at the beach. As an ex-collegiate baseball player and coach, sports are a huge part of my life and I always enjoy chatting about anything sports related.
